SportNotes ("we", "us", "our") is operated by JZP.media, a company based in Poland, European Union. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use SportNotes at sportnotes.app.

1. Data we collect

When you connect your sports device account (Polar, Garmin, or Suunto), we receive and store:

Your first and last name
Your profile photo (avatar)
Your activity data: title, date, distance, duration, elevation, sport type, and GPS route (polyline)
OAuth access and refresh tokens (used to sync your activities)

Additionally, you may choose to upload:

Photos attached to your activities
Custom titles, descriptions, and bio text

If you upgrade to a Premium plan, we also store:

Your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID (used to manage your subscription)
Your subscription plan and status

We do not store your payment card details. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe and never passes through our servers.

2. How we use your data

We use your data solely to provide the SportNotes service:

To display your activities in your personal dashboard
To allow you to create and share activity pages and collections
To display your public profile when you choose to make it visible
To manage your subscription and billing (Premium users)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (see Section 4).

3. Data visibility

All your activities are private by default. You control what is visible to others:

Private — visible only to you
Link only — visible to anyone with the direct link
Public — visible on your public profile

4. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate SportNotes:

Polar, Garmin, Suunto — to authenticate users and import activity data from sports devices
Data storage — your data is stored on servers located in the European Union
Stripe — to process subscription payments. Stripe may collect and store your payment information, email address, and billing details in accordance with Stripe's Privacy Policy. We never see or store your full card number.
Google Analytics — to understand how visitors use SportNotes (page views, session duration, general usage patterns). Google Analytics collects anonymized data using cookies. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google. You can opt out using Google's opt-out tool.
Microsoft Clarity — to understand how visitors interact with SportNotes (heatmaps, session recordings, usage patterns). Clarity collects anonymized behavioral data. No personally identifiable information is shared with Microsoft. You can learn more at Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

5. Cookies

SportNotes uses the following cookies:

Authentication — a session token stored in your browser to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function.
Google Analytics — cookies used to collect anonymized usage statistics (_ga, _gid). These are analytics cookies and require your consent.
Microsoft Clarity — cookies used to collect anonymized behavioral data (heatmaps, session recordings). These are analytics cookies and require your consent.
Stripe — cookies used by Stripe to prevent fraud and ensure payment security. These are set when you initiate a payment.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the service.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As a user in the European Union, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting your sports device account
Object to or restrict processing of your personal data

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove all your personal data within 30 days. Stripe may retain billing records for longer periods as required by law.
