Terms of Service

By using SportNotes ("the Service") at sportnotes.app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

SportNotes is a web application that allows users to import their activities from sports devices and platforms (Polar, Garmin, Suunto), add photos and descriptions, and share activity pages and collections with others. SportNotes is available in a free plan and a paid Premium plan.

2. Eligibility

You must have a valid account with at least one supported sports platform (Polar, Garmin, or Suunto) to use SportNotes. By connecting your account, you confirm that you are authorized to use it and that your use complies with that platform's Terms of Service.

3. User content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to SportNotes, including photos, descriptions, and activity data. By uploading content, you grant SportNotes a non-exclusive license to store and display that content as part of the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You agree not to upload content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others.

4. Third-party platform data

SportNotes accesses your activity data through the official APIs of Polar, Garmin, and Suunto, in accordance with each platform's API agreement. We only request the minimum permissions needed to provide the Service: reading your profile and activities.

5. Premium subscriptions and payments

SportNotes offers a Premium subscription with additional features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Upon cancellation, you retain Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

6. Free plan limits

The free plan includes up to 100 activities, 5 photos per activity, and 10 collections. If you exceed these limits (for example, after downgrading from Premium), existing data is preserved but you will not be able to add new content beyond the free plan limits until you upgrade again.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Upload malicious code or attempt to interfere with the Service
Scrape or collect data from the Service without permission

8. Service availability

SportNotes is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time.

9. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deleting your account will cancel any active subscription and permanently remove all your data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SportNotes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Poland.
